ADL’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE and UMSL PARTNERSHIPS

The Institute is pleased to work with the University of Missouri-St. Louis on two unique partnerships: the first is Bridge, a unique comprehensive year-round pre-collegiate program for under-served high school students and their parents. Bridge prides itself on providing offerings that equip students with resources that will help them successfully enter into and graduate from post-secondary school throughout the US.  Bridge  is strong example of  college access opportunity so important to the success of the region.  The A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute was pleased to partner with Bridge in 2013, offering two presentations, one for youth in June and the second for parents in December.   In all, close to 400 participated between the two programs.

Second, the Institute is in the third year of “Social Justice and Diversity“, an anti-bias course offered through UMSL’s Department of Political Science.  The 3-credit course examines both the academic discipline of diversity and also challenges students with

experiential introspection into their own bias and prejudice.
